According to a CNET report, a Samsung spokesperson through an email said that the announcement of the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy Fold will be made in the coming weeks. But the spokesperson didn’t reveal the exact date of the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Fold. But one thing is for sure that the company plans to launch the smartphone once again as it said it will do instead of abandoning it. The official launch of the Samsung Galaxy Fold was to be done in April 2019 but when it was given to the YouTube reviewers for reviews before the launch, things went wrong. As some YouTubers noted that the Samsung Galaxy Fold comes with a slight plastic coating on the top which was to be a part of the screen, but since no description was mentioned about the coating, the reviewers took away the plastic coating. That’s when the Samsung Galaxy Fold stopped working and according to Samsung the coating was a part of the screen. In the later versions, the company put a warning message to the screen asking users ‘not to remove the plastic coating’.

Reviewers also found out that the screen of the Samsung Galaxy Fold was easily damaged and it had signs of wear and tear only after a limited time of usage. The hinge of the Samsung Galaxy Fold also had some problems as it couldn’t handle much of the regular open and close cycle. Lastly, Samsung had to recall all the units of the device and putting an indefinite hold on the launch of the device. Earlier, Samsung Mobile Chief DJ Koh said that the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Fold was on track and it ‘would not be too late’. Now, with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Fold once again in news, it is expected to launch in the coming weeks or months.
